5 Movies You Should Watch Now.

...and which you can watch now, because they're on Netflix Instant!

1.  I know this came out a while ago, but Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing is really truly fantastic.  I watched it when it first came out and was delighted, but after a recent re-viewing, I was astounded: it's inspired.  Do yourself a favour and watch it now, whether or not you have seen it already.

2.  Alex and I have been sort of on a learning-about-wine kick after reading a hilarious Roald Dahl short story about a wine connoisseur (the story is called Taste--read it!).  You can only read so many articles on tannins before you end up with a strangely chalky sensation in your mouth, so we were pleased to discover A Year in Burgundy, a new-to-Netflix documentary following Burgundian winemaking families.  It was very informative, and so fascinating to see these different families and how their lives completely revolve around the art (or the science) of wine-making.

3.  Apparently, in the 1930's, the Galapagos Islands were the perfect destination for those seeking perfect solitude and nearly complete isolation from society.  Until, that is, numerous people ended up on the same island.  The Galapagos Affair, which documents the lives of a few Germans living on the island of Floreana, is intriguing, terrifying, and definitely worth the watch.

4.  Yes, Silver Linings Playbook did come out two years ago, but it was just recently released on Netflix Instant.  I really do love this story.  I love its honesty.  I love the broken characters.  I love the idea that everyone can find happiness.  It's rough and complicated, charming and simple.  Serve with tissues.

5. Upstream Color.  No words.  Just watch if you're ready for a beautiful, terrifyingly strange experience.  Then come talk to me.
