Usually when I see diaper bags I want to cry. Not because they're beautiful. Because they're so ugly I just can't take the thought of having to carry such a monstrosity around for the next year (at this point, my fears at being a Real Life Mom are manifested in the most superficial of ways...how embarrassing). Call me snobby, but I just can't take the hot pink snakeskin or the lime green flowers! (And does everything have to be chevron...?)
It's too bad that these beauties I wrangled up are a wee bit too far out of our price range...
2. So this Madewell bag isn't a diaper bag. But it could be:
3. This Ika bag is pretty cute...
4. If this Danzo Baby bag was a tad smaller...oh, and available:
5. This one from Etsy is my favourite. But it's too small. (I guess that makes the Madewell one my favourite, since they basically are the same...)
Forgive this blatant materialism...I'll just keep thrifting till I find one that corresponds with my aesthetic sensibilities. And my wallet.

This is what I got: http://www.verabradley.com/product/Handbags/Totes/Laser-Cut-Tote/1003375/defaultColorVariantId/198000/pc/1087/c/0/sc/1134/p/1003375.uts
ReplyDeleteNOW it comes in other colors. Snap. I like Vera's quilted solid color bags too, that's what I used for J, with a coordination placemat as a changing pad, and their plastic lined Ditty bag for soiled things.
Really, after the first three months, my large purse is big enough for a a diaper, travel wipes, and nursing cover. I keep a change of clothes in the car from then on.
That's so good to know! I don't have a large purse however (I'm so attached to the small leather one I got in Olympia); I guess getting a "cool" diaper bag is the equivalent of getting a super awesome new purse since I had no reason to have one till now....haha.
DeleteP.S. Thanks for your comments! They're always so helpful.
